Friends of the Theatre

The Friends of the Theatre will receive valuable training in all aspects of the Front of House operations of the Pilbeam Theatre. The training will prepare you for work as an usher, a liquor bar attendant, a candy bar attendant as well as program and merchandise sales.

Additional benefits include social functions, discounts on theatre tickets; and the opportunity to "earn" vouchers to enable you to see shows of your choice.

Every time a Friend of the Theatre works at the Pilbeam Theatre, they receive a voucher. When Friends have earned enough vouchers, they can redeem them for most shows presented at the Pilbeam Theatre (the number of vouchers required depends on the value of tickets being sought).

Money raised by the Friends of the Theatre is used to provide bursaries, and to provide and upgrade much needed equipment for use by community groups and other hirers of venue. To date, the Friends have provided in excess of $160, 000 in donations.
