Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow

Comedy lovers will get to see some of Australia’s top comedians when
Greg Fleet, Colin Lane and Fiona O’Loughlin headline in the Melbourne
Comedy Festival Roadshow, to be performed Rockhampton next week.
Organisers have described the lineup as probably the highest profile comedy
acts the Roadshow has seen in its decade long history.
Six comedians will perform in the one show in Rockhampton.

Greg Fleet is described by The Scotsman newspaper as “brilliant … inspired
nonsense - utterly fresh, utterly hilarious”. He delivers classic comedy
and is one of Australia’s comedy icons.
Colin Lane is probably best known as one half of duo Lano
and Woodley. Since the pair’s farewell tour, Colin Lane has been spreading his own manic
weirdness throughout Australia and the rest of the comedy loving world.
Fiona O’Loughlin is described as “the funniest working mother in
Australia today”. She is a regular on Spicks and Specks, Sunrise and
other TV shows. She has recently returned from performing in the UK in The
World Stands Up
Dave Thornton has become a comic on the ascent in Australia.
He has quickly gained attention through winning many accolades including Melbourne’s
Angling for a Laugh and Search for a Funny Bone competitions.
Hannah Gadsby was winner of the 2006 Raw Comedy competition
at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and second place winner at the So You Think
You’re Funny
competition at the Edinburgh Festival.
Asher Treleaven will be bringing his “best assorted weirdness” to
Rockhampton and warns audiences to “expect anything from scintillating
Mills & Boon, to dubious rock eisteddfod dancing.”
Contains coarse language. Mature audiences only.
