mention THAT car! That’s right, the girls and boys
of Rydell High will again hop to the sounds of perennial favourites such
as Summer Nights, You’re the One that I Want and
Greased Lightning. Director
Jan Kennedy has again assembled a talented cast of students renowned throughout
the Rockhampton community for their vocal, dancing and acting prowess.
With leads including Jaime Hadwen and Cameron Bond in the roles made famous
by Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta, and featuring the original car
from the touring tent

Opera
Queensland presents
The Magic Flute

Roll up, roll up!
Join us, one and all, as we follow the young Tamino on his random journey to
love and enlightenment, in Mozart’s timeless masterpiece, The Magic Flute.
With Papageno at his side to overcome the dark powers of the Queen of Night,
Tamino’s quest for truth, beauty and the girl of his dreams unfolds to
the magic of Mozart’s score.
This new production by Opera Queensland floats in time, speaks of make-believe
and lives lived outside the ordinary. Scheming divas, an innocent clown, a
ringmaster, and a strongman come together to tell this tale of the supernatural
all under a 1930s big top.
An enchanting cast will take you on this inspirational adventure, where will
and courage are tested at every turn.
Sung in English. Performed with the Opera Queensland Chorus (Ensemble) and
The Queensland Orchestra (Ensemble).
